Experienced Lawyers often try to manipulate more inexperienced lawyers into becoming
their pawns. It is important for inexperienced lawyers to stand up for themselves and fight
for power in the room regardless of how much experience their competition has. Lawyers
should approach their first court case with zeal while adopting an appetite for learning new
things and keeping an open mind to accept new knowledge. Lawyers are bound to bump
into experienced and overbearing lawyers, the typical ”oh really, this my 1000th case.” they
will make inexperienced lawyers feel self-conscious about their lack of experience. Lawyers
and jurors have all of the necessary tools to be an active member in the courtroom and
remember that experience is arbitrary. More importantly, they should not let these kinds of
lawyers influence their loss of motivation and confidence.
