The prosecution counsel at the Deadlock Defamation Courtroom started off with scores of allegations against the Defence counsel in their Opening Statements. They made all sorts of claims against the Arizonian Samaritan Newspaper, saying what they wrote about was “a far- fetched negligence”. The prosecution counsel tried to turn on their charm and butter up the Jury by stating that “They may have fooled the team of lawyers but will not be able to fool the clever jurors.”.
The Prosecution counsel unrelentingly continued to go on and on about the so-called “damage” which fell upon the OrangeDale County Police because of this one article, they said the wife of Chief Noah, Christine Noah, became an outcast, and the children who respected her and taught her at the OrangeDale County High School now “looked down on her”. As the lawyers came forward they pointed out the “Inaccuracy of the Publications” and how this Boycotted the police department. The lawyers tactfully acknowledged the depleting situation of their public image, which now lets us know that they in fact are aware of their already existing “Sour public image” as stated by the lawyer. They also said with utmost confidence that the police department is sure that people are only arrested based on crime, yet the crime committed has not been revealed.
At this point, they were raging and throwing words against the Arizonian Samaritan to protect their client and called this a “Blip on the national Radar” and that the Arizonian Samaritan “Manipulated the facts”. They were throwing people off by how they said we must “consider all the evidence” right after saying that the evidence which over here is the facts were “manipulated”. They said this was the Arizonian Samaritans way of making “Quick money off the police Department” and that the public needs to look beyond their “Illusions of success”
However, towards the end, there seemed to be a clear difference between some lawyers of the prosecution counsel and others as some seemed to not know what to say at the end of their speeches and threw out a contradictory statement such as “freedom of the press, freedom of speech”. Aggression pervaded the courtroom post this discussion and concluded with a claim that they will in fact “Win this case”. More so will we see the Defence Counsel retorting to these allegations thrown upon them in their opening statements?
